Job summary
DSI Tech is expanding its Structured Cabling practice and seeks a Solutions Architect to lead technical cabling designs from on-site surveys to BOMs and SOWs. You will partner with sales and delivery teams and ensure accurate handoffs to project managers.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in structured cabling, Cat6/Cat6A fiber knowledge, and BICSI RCDD certification. The role is based in Ashburn, VA, with an expectation of in-office collaboration.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in structured cabling design and support.
- Strong Cat6/Cat6A and fiber knowledge.
- Experience with MDF/IDF design and cabling pathways.
- Onsite surveys and BOM development experience.
- Proven ability to write SOWs and cost estimates.
- Knowledge of NEC and ANSI/TIA standards.
- Proficient with AutoCAD/Bluebeam/Visio.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer discovery and on-site surveys with teams.
- Design cabling solutions and develop accurate BOMs.
- Prepare Statements of Work and project estimates.
- Review drawings, RFPs and IT construction documents.
- handoff to implementation and provide field support.
