Job summary

DSI Tech is expanding its Structured Cabling practice and seeks an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the technical design of cabling solutions from initial customer conversations and on-site surveys through solution design, BOM, SOW, and transition to the delivery team.

The ideal candidate will be customer-facing, able to discuss requirements, develop accurate BOMs, and support sales and delivery teams through project awards and implementation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing and supporting structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Cat6, Cat6A and fiber cabling design.
• Experience developing Bills of Materials and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical designs from customer conversation and site survey through BOM, SOW, proposal support and handoff to implementation.
• Develop accurate Bills of Materials including copper, fiber, racks, cabinets and mating components.
• Prepare technical Statements of Work with scope, assumptions, responsibilities, deliverables and testing requirements.
• Review drawings, RFPs and specs to identify technical requirements and risks.
• Present designs to customers and justify technical recommendations.
