Job summary

DSI Tech is expanding its Structured Cabling practice and seeks an experienced Solutions Architect to lead technical design from customer conversations to BOM and SOW. The role involves on-site surveys, design, and coordination with sales and delivery teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of Cat6/Cat6A, fiber, MDF/IDF design, and BOM development, with strong experience in documenting and presenting technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing structured cabling and telecom infra.
• Hands-on knowledge of Cat6/Cat6A, single/multi-mode fiber.
• Understanding MDF/IDF design, rooms, racks, cabling.
• Experience translating field conditions into design.
• Experience with BOMs and cost estimates.
• Development of SOWs, design packages, and drawings.
• Experience in office, enterprise, campus, or data center cabling.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design of cabling solutions from discovery to BOM.
• Develop accurate BOMs, cable counts, and pricing inputs.
• Prepare technical Statements of Work with scope and criteria.
• Create drawings and diagrams using AutoCAD/Bluebeam/Visio.
• Review drawings, specifications, and RFPs for requirements.
• Support sales and delivery with technically compliant proposals.
• Assist in handoff to project managers and field teams.
