Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced structural loads engineer to support the development and operation of New Glenn. You will generate, communicate, and validate loads analyses, including CLA, using NASTRAN/MATLAB and FEM tools.

The role requires owning complex problems in a dynamic environment and delivering technically excellent results. The candidate will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, develop reduced-order models, and contribute to data-driven decision making for launch

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering is required.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Familiarity with loads analysis for aerospace vehicles.
• Proficiency with NASTRAN and MATLAB.
• Ability to develop, document, and present analytical results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Launch Vehicle CLA analyses across disciplines.
• Document CLA results for internal, government, and commercial customers.
• Develop/refine Finite Element Models and correlate with tests.
• Use Component Modal Synthesis (Craig-Bampton) for model reduction.
• Develop mathematical models and simulations for loads analysis.
• Manage large data sets and post-process results for engineering use.
• Perform other loads-related tasks as required.
