Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to support development and operations of New Glenn. You will generate, communicate, and validate structural loads for launch vehicles and test facilities, with emphasis on CLA, FE modeling, and data analysis.

The role requires 8+ years in aerospace structural loads, NASTRAN/MATLAB skills, and ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment. U.S. citizenship or eligible status is required. Competitive benefits and pay ranges apply.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficiency in loads analysis and physics-based analytical methods.
• NASTRAN and MATLAB proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Launch vehicle CLA development and execution with cross-discipline inputs.
• Document CLA and loads results for customers.
• FE Model development/refinement, validation, and correlation to modal tests.
• FE Model reduction using Component Modal Synthesis methods (e.g., Craig-Bampton).
• General loads development for launch vehicles and related ground systems.
• Development of mathematical models and simulations for loads analysis.
• Management of large datasets and post-processing for engineering apps.
• Other loads tasks as required.
