Blue Origin seeks an experienced structural analyst to perform hand calculations and FEM analyses on New Glenn primary structures, ensuring weight-optimized designs. You will document stress analyses and guide design engineers while supporting production and testing activities.

The role requires strong knowledge of loads, materials, and multiple analysis codes, with excellent communication across teams to ensure safety and reliability in spaceflight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in aircraft/spacecraft primary structure analysis.
• Experience with Abaqus for aerospace structural analysis.
• Proven hand calculations and load-path understanding.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand calculations and FEM analyses of primary/secondary structures.
• Provide analysis substantiation for manufacturing non-conformances.
• Document stress analysis and support release of parts and assemblies.
• Guide design engineers on concepts balancing risk, cost, and performance.
• Support cross‑functional teams in production activities and testing.
