Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced loads analyst to support New Glenn structural loads development. You will execute Coupled Loads Analysis, develop and refine finite element models, and communicate results to internal and external customers.

Proficiency in NASTRAN, MATLAB, and data analysis is required, with a passion for aerospace structural loads and hands-on problem solving. Minimum qualifications include a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 8+ years of experience, with U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Passion for aerospace vehicle structural loads and related analysis.
• Finite Element Modeling experience.
• NASTRAN and MATLAB proficiency.
• Ability to solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based methods.
• Ability to present data for engineering applications.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Launch vehicle CLA development and execution with cross-discipline inputs.
• Document CLA results for customers.
• Develop/refine FE models and correlate to tests.
• Reduce FE models using Component Modal Synthesis (e.g., Craig-Bampton).
• Develop mathematical models and simulations for loads analysis.
• Handle large data sets and post-process for engineering use.
• Tackle low and high frequency structural loads tasks as needed.
