Zusammenfassung

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior structural engineer for a hybrid role based in the Atlanta area. You will apply expertise in materials behavior, structural analysis, steel and concrete design to support power transmission modifications and upgrades.

Expect to prepare calculations, design documents, and specifications for client reviews. You will interface with clients and project teams, review work, and guide other engineers while traveling to client sites as needed to coordinate design

Qualifikationen

• ABET-accredited degree in civil/structural engineering required.
• 12+ years as a structural engineer, ideally on electrical substations.
• Effective client communication and site walk-downs as needed.
• Experience writing and supporting calculations.
• Ability to manage budgets and schedules with accuracy.
• Knowledge of design codes such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318.

Aufgaben

• Analyze and design steel frames, concrete members, equipment, and foundations.
• Prepare calculations, design documents, and specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, PMs, and suppliers for timely designs.
• Review others' work and provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification.
• Develop career through Communities of Practice and peer learning.
