Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional for the Northeast Region to lead analysis and design of steel and concrete structures in complex industrial and semiconductor facilities. You will mentor designers, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure compliance with US codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC) while delivering safe, cost-effective solutions.

You'll manage scope, forecast effort, and take ownership of your portion of the structural work, with opportunities for career growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng).
• At least 10 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a significant portion of structural analysis and design for projects.
• Develop design concepts, complete analysis and design, and collaborate with Designers to document requirements.
• Lead or co-lead structural design on medium-sized projects or act as Sub Lead on larger ones.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and designers.
• Progress workflows and tools within the structural discipline and stay current with industry practices.
