Job summary

Jacobs, in the Northeast region, seeks a Structural Engineering Professional Associate to join our design team. You will contribute to structural analysis and design for complex projects, collaborating with lead engineers and designers to develop concepts and deliver practical, code-compliant solutions.

In a hybrid work environment, you will mentor junior staff, expand leadership capabilities, and apply seismic provisions and US codes to diverse industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng).
• At least 4 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a significant portion of structural analysis and design for projects.
• Develop design concepts and complete the analysis and design.
• Collaborate with the Structural Lead, other engineers and designers.
• Communicate structural requirements on paper and in the model.
