Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to support design teams on industrial and semiconductor facilities, applying US codes and performing structural analysis and design. You will collaborate with leads, engineers, drafters, and other disciplines to deliver reliable, safe structures.

You'll contribute to developing concepts, performing calculations, and ensuring documentation aligns with project goals, budgets, and schedules, while mentoring junior staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE/PEng).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, competently perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design.
• Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques.
• Exercise sound engineering judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Possess knowledge of lateral analysis and design (wind and seismic) per code.
• Exhibit high attention to detail and quality control.
• Provide technical guidance to designers/drafters and junior engineers.
• Develop design concepts and ensure design documents reflect structural requirements.
• Collaborate with Structural Lead, engineers, and other disciplines.
