Job summary

Jacobs in the Northeast region seeks a Structural Engineering Professional Associate to perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete facilities. You will collaborate with the Structural Lead and designers to develop concepts, verify designs, and document results in papers and models.

You will mentor engineers, manage workload, and contribute to project delivery while aligning with US codes and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng).
• At least 4 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under supervision.
• Develop design concepts and communicate results in papers and models.
• Collaborate with Structural Lead, other engineers and disciplines.
• Manage workload and meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Provide technical guidance to designers and junior engineers.
• Advance workflows and adopt emerging structural technologies.
