Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to join our design team in a hybrid role within the USA Southeast region. You will perform structural analysis, develop design concepts, and collaborate with Lead Structural Engineers and other disciplines to deliver compliant, constructible facilities.
You’ll apply knowledge of US codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC), advance workflows with senior staff, and mentor designers.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
- PE license required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Structural engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design under general supervision.
- Lead a portion of the structural scope and ensure quality and schedule.
- Provide technical guidance to designers/drafters and junior engineers.
- Attend project meetings and help resolve concerns across disciplines.
- May lead projects as stamping Engineer of Record and manage deliverables.
