Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional in the Northeast region to perform substantial structural analysis and design for complex facilities. You will collaborate with a lead Structural Engineer and other disciplines to develop concepts, run analyses, and deliver designs on time.

Responsibilities include quality control, ownership of scope, and mentoring designers. Ideal candidates will have PE or SE licenses, 10+ years in structural engineering, and strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• PE license required; SE license desirable.
• At least 10 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
• Experience with structural analysis software such as Navisworks/Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under general supervision.
• Develop design concepts and communicate requirements to team.
• Lead or co-lead structural design for medium/large projects.
• Mentor designers/drafters and junior engineers.
• Advance workflows and adopt new technologies within structural discipline.
