Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Advanced Manufacturing team working on data center projects across the United States. You will perform diverse structural engineering tasks, model structures, and provide calculations for members and foundations, while collaborating with internal teams and client sites.

The role requires a PE license (or ability to obtain), 8+ years of experience, and proficiency in CAD and analysis tools like AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, RISA or STAAD.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Proficiency with CAD software: AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge of design codes and Building Codes (ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, etc.).
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and MS Teams for remote coordination.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of structural engineering assignments for data center projects.
• Create computer models for structures and perform member design calculations.
• Prepare foundations calculations, material take-offs, and project schedules.
• Coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
• Lead and grow technically and professionally within the Advanced Manufacturing team.
