Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in the Advanced Manufacturing team to work on data center projects, including new builds, retrofits and colocations. You will perform structural analyses, create models, and coordinate with global teams for project delivery.

Requires a PE, BS in civil/structural engineering, 8+ years' experience, and proficiency with AutoCad/Revit/MicroStation/S3D and RISA/STAAD; travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other standards.
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Teams for remote coordination.
• Ability to travel to client sites (10–20%).
• Master of Science in Engineering (preferred).
• Experience with industrial metals projects or similar heavy industry.
• Ability to lead teams to deliver on schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of analysis for structural projects.
• Create computer models for structures.
• Perform calculations for member designs and foundations, and assist with schedules and take-offs.
