Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer within our Advanced Manufacturing team, focusing on data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will perform structural engineering tasks, develop models, and contribute to project delivery with a diverse team.

Requirements include a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, 8+ years of experience, a registered PE, proficiency with AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation, S3D, and structural analysis tools, plus travel readiness.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 8+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, S3D).
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (RISA or STAAD).
• Familiarity with ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, and related design codes.
• Understanding of Building Codes and MS Office suite including MS Teams.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of structural engineering analyses and calculations.
• Create computer models for structures and foundations.
• Prepare calculations and estimates, assist with schedules and documentation.
• Coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
