Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Senior Structural Engineer within our Advanced Manufacturing team. You’ll work on Data Center projects, including new builds and retrofits, guiding design from concept to delivery across domestic and international offices.

You’ll lead analyses, build models, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams while growing technically and professionally. The role requires 8+ years of experience, a PE license or eligibility, CAD/analysis tools proficiency, and travel about 10–20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer or ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Familiar with ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, and related design codes.
• Proficiency with Building Codes and MS Office including MS Teams.
• Ability to travel to client sites (approx. 10%–20%).

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of analyses on structural projects.
• Create computer models for structures and evaluate designs.
• Perform calculations for member designs and foundations; support schedules.
• Coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to deliver projects on time.
