Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer within our Advanced Manufacturing team to work on Data Center projects and related capital works. You will perform a broad range of structural engineering tasks, interfacing with design teams and coordinating across Jacobs offices globally.

Minimum 8+ years of experience, a PE license, and strong CAD/structural analysis software knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
Knowledge of CAD software: AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other design codes.
Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Teams for remote coordination.
Ability for travel to various client’s sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel).
Ideally Master of Science in Engineering.
Experience with industrial metals projects and leading teams.

Responsibilities

Performing a variety of analysis and creating computer models for structures.
Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating.
Assisting with schedules and coordinating designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
