Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing team on projects related to data centers, including new builds and retrofits. You will perform structural analyses, develop models, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Jacobs offices in the U.S.

and abroad. The role requires a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering with 8+ years of experience and a PE license, plus CAD/analysis software proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Proficiency with CAD software: AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13 and related codes.
• Familiarity with Building Codes and MS Office suite incl. Teams.
• Ability to travel to client sites (10–20%).

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of structural engineering analyses and calculations.
• Create computer models for structures and prepare designs.
• Coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
• Lead teams to meet schedules, budgets and quality expectations.
