Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our Advanced Manufacturing team. You’ll work on data center projects, lead design analyses, and coordinate with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally. This role offers growth into leadership as experience expands.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in structural engineering, a PE license, and proficiency with CAD and analysis software. Expect travel 10–20% and a hybrid US-based work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states
• Knowledge of CAD software: AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation, S3D
• Proficiency with structural analysis software: RISA or STAAD
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes (ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Tech Report 13)
• Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Teams for remote coordination
• Ability for travel to various client’s sites (10–20% travel)

• Creating computer models for structures
• Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules
