Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr Sterile Processing Technician to maintain high standards of decontamination, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments for Surgical Services and ancillary departments.

You will collaborate with OR staff to ensure timely sterile products, trays, and case carts, supporting a seamless workflow between OR and Sterile Processing while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED, homeschool equivalency, etc.).
• Two years of sterile processing experience.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination and assembling of complex surgical trays and instruments.
• Sterilizes instruments and trays per manufacturer instructions and hospital policies.
• Identifies and prioritizes sterile products, trays, and case carts based on OR schedule.
• Maintains continuous workflow between the OR and Sterile Processing with strong customer service.
