Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, assemble, inspect, wrap and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment for Surgical Services and ancillary departments. The role supports the OR team with timely sterile products, trays, and case carts, while maintaining high customer service and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Sterile Processing program preferred.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification within 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination and assembling of basic surgical trays and equipment.
• Wraps, counts, and prepares sterilized items according to procedures.
• Provides timely sterile products and case carts in collaboration with OR staff.
• Maintains safety and privacy standards; follows universal precautions.
