Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr Sterile Processing Technician to maintain decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilization of surgical instruments for Surgical Services. This role ensures workflow between OR and Sterile Processing and delivers high-quality customer service to departments across the hospital.

The position requires Sterile Processing certification (CRCST or CSPDT) and at least two years of experience, with routine Saturday-Sunday shifts from 7:00am to 5:30pm in

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Two years of sterile processing experience.
• Sterile Processing certification: CRCST or CSPDT.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination and assembling of complex surgical trays and instrumentation.
• Sterilizes instruments and trays following manufacturer instructions and hospital policies.
• Identifies and prioritizes timely sterile products for the OR staff and physicians.
