Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group seeks an experienced Sr Sterile Processing Technician to maintain decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping, and sterilization of instruments and equipment for Surgical Services and ancillary departments. You will collaborate with OR staff to ensure timely sterile products, trays and case carts while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires CRCST or CSPDT certification, strong English communication, and proven experience in

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of sterile processing experience.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and assemble complex surgical trays and instruments, wrapping items by size/type.
• Sterilize instruments and trays following manufacturer instructions and department policies.
• Identify and prioritize timely sterile products, trays and case carts based on OR schedule.
• Ensure consistent workflow between the OR and Sterile Processing with excellent customer service.
