Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Solution Architect to design end-to-end SPM solutions for complex engagements. You will translate customer strategies into scalable architectures across the SPM portfolio, including commissions, planning, territory, and enablement.

This hands-on, billable role requires leading discovery, owning functional design, and setting standards while partnering with Technical Architects and product teams. Based in the US or Canada with regional travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in SPM or related solutions such as incentive compensation management, planning, or sales technology.
• Deep functional SPM expertise across compensation, planning, territory, and enablement.
• Ability to translate business strategy and requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions.
• Advanced ability to model complex incentive, compensation, and planning logic.
• Solid understanding of data concepts and data quality to partner with Technical Architects.
• Executive-level communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to scope, define, and manage work packages; support pre-sales qualification.
• Experience mentoring or guiding less experienced team members.
• Based in the US or Canada and available to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customer stakeholders to define the SPM solution vision, roadmap, deliverables, and expectations.
• Lead discovery and solution design workshops and architect and document the end-to-end functional solution across the SPM suite.
• Translate sales performance strategy into a well-architected Salesforce-based solution.
• Own the functional design and configuration leadership across the SPM suite (Sales Maps, Planning, Spiff, Programs, and ETM).
• Apply AI-powered SPM capabilities to accelerate delivery and increase value.
• Define the solution blueprint, design standards, and governance of scope and quality.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to align design with integrations, data, and development.
• Mentor consultants and promote reusable assets and standards.
• Support proposals, staffing plans, and SOWs; assist pre-sales activities and POCs.
• Liaise with Salesforce product teams to support implementations and maintain target billable utilization.
