Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Solution Architect to design and lead end-to-end SPM engagements. You will translate client strategies into scalable, well-architected solutions across the SPM portfolio, including commission planning and territory management.

This hands-on, billable role reports to Specialized Services, collaborating with Senior Solution Architects, engineers, and product teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality. Based in US or Canada with regional travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience implementing, designing, or consulting on SPM, ICM, or related solutions.
• Deep functional expertise across the SPM domain (compensation, planning, territory, enablement).
• Ability to translate business strategy into well-architected solutions.
• Ability to model complex incentive and planning logic in formula or Excel.
• Strong data concepts and collaboration with Technical Architects.
• Executive-level communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to scope, define, and manage work packages; support pre-sales qualification.
• Experience mentoring or guiding less experienced team members.
• Based in the US or Canada and travel regionally as needed.
• Degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customer stakeholders to understand objectives and define the SPM solution vision, roadmap, deliverables, and expectations.
• Lead discovery and solution design workshops; architect end-to-end functional solution across the SPM suite.
• Translate sales performance strategy and requirements into a well-architected Salesforce-based solution.
• Own the functional design and configuration leadership across the SPM suite (Salesforce Maps, Sales Planning, Spiff, ETM).
• Define the solution blueprint, best practices, and design standards; govern scope and quality.
• Partner with Technical Architects to align design with integrations, data, and custom development.
• Support pre-sales activities: discovery, solution demonstrations, and POC development.
• Liaise with Salesforce product teams to support customer implementations.
• Maintain target billable utilization aligned to the role.
