Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care in a collaborative inpatient setting. You will supervise staff, guide therapy, and drive evidence-based practices to improve communication and swallowing outcomes.

The role requires state licensure and CCC eligibility, CPR, and at least two years in speech-language pathology. You will mentor teammates, participate in in-service education, and help grow a patient-centered

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification required by regulations.
• CCC certification completed or in process.
• CPR/BLs required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or related specialty certifications if eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and build rewarding patient relationships.
• Assist with in-service education and our student SLP program.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise SLP assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
