Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care and guide a team dedicated to improving communication and swallowing disorders. You will mentor staff, participate in in-service education, and support a collaborative rehabilitative approach across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
• BLS/CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of two years of speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or hold specialty professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding relationships by addressing each patient's communication needs.
• Assist with speech-language in-service education and our SLP student program.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.

Education

Bachelor's in Speech Therapy or related management degree

Master's or Doctorate degree preferred
