Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will guide speech-language interventions, mentor teammates, and participate in education programs while advancing the care team’s expertise.

This role emphasizes compassionate, personalized care, leveraging advanced technologies and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management. Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery.
• Assist with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
