Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead, guide patient care, and advance speech-language pathology services in an inpatient rehab setting.

You will mentor staff, promote education, and ensure high-quality outcomes through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. This role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based care and program development to support patient recovery.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's needs to aid recovery.
• Assist with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
