Job summary

Okta is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager for the SLED team, reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering for Public Sector. You will lead a nationwide team, align with sales to win opportunities, and deliver value through demonstrations and trials.

You will shape the team with development plans, mentor engineers, and collaborate with other pre-sales units to hit growth targets while driving outcomes for government customers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success selling to US Public Sector (SLED preferred, or FED) Agencies.
• Ability to influence technical decision makers and executives; executive sponsor.
• 12+ years Pre Sales experience with 4+ years of managerial/leadership experience.
• BS in engineering, science or mathematics or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a Solutions Engineering team serving SLED accounts nationwide.
• Own business impact reporting; oversee demonstrations, deep dives, trials, and value proofs.
• Proactively participate in deals and advise on winning strategies on-site when needed.
• Collaborate with Pre Sales and other Okta units to accelerate growth.
• Recruit, ramp, and mentor engineers from diverse backgrounds.
