Job summary

Rocket Software is seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer - Senior Consultant to lead mainframe modernization projects, delivering technical solutions and accelerating customers’ digital transformation.

The role emphasizes customer engagement, solution design, and leadership of project teams. Strong COBOL/CICS/DB2 skills and cloud awareness are required for success in a remote US setting.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant technical experience.
• Fluent in written and verbal English.
• Excellent communication / customer service skills / confident telephone manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to customers (75%)
• Lead complex projects with minimal direction from customer or SI representatives.
• Contribute to design and deployment of Rocket products
• Implement new solutions under Delivery Architects
• Create proof of concept / value analyses and pilots
• Conduct technical presentations/trainings to peer groups
• Engage in Rocket AMC technical forums and user groups
• Apply Subject Matter knowledge to solve technical issues
• Collaborate with team and maintain strong customer relationships
• Coordinate with PM on technical communications and scope changes
• Estimate new requirements with Architect/Manager approval
• Supervise code reviews and project delivery tasks
