Job summary

Rocket Software USA is seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer Senior Consultant to provide technical leadership in mainframe modernization and digital transformation initiatives for its customers. You will lead complex projects, deliver architectural guidance, and drive successful deployment of Rocket products.

The role emphasizes strong client communication, hands-on technical execution, and collaboration with delivery teams to ensure project success with sound technical decisions.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant technical experience
• Excellent communication / customer service skills / confident telephone manner
• Proactive and able to work under pressure
• Experience in complex IT project implementations, customizations and/or maintenance
• Analytical mindset to analyse test results and facilitate defect resolution
• Organized and methodical, able to handle numerous tasks
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Provide services to customers (75%)
• Work on complex project scope with minimal direction from Customer/SI
• Contribute to design for deliverables and assist in deployment of Rocket products
• Implement new solutions under the direction of Delivery Architects
• Create PoCs / PV technology analyses and pilots
• Conduct technical presentations/trainings to peer groups
• Participate in Rocket AMC forums and user groups
• Apply subject matter knowledge to solve technical issues
• Exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures
• Coordinate with PM on technical communication and changes in scope
• Lead a team and communicate project status and risks
• Provide sound technical advice and know the architecture, versions, and requirements
