Job summary

Rocket Software, Inc. is seeking a Principal Customer Solutions Engineer to provide expert support and leadership in mainframe modernization and digital transformation initiatives. You will guide complex projects, engage with customers, and lead delivery teams to deploy Rocket products.

The role requires strong technical depth, excellent communication, and hands-on experience with IBM COBOL, CICS, DB2, and cloud tools. Remote work in the USA is supported with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant technical experience.
• Fluent in written and verbal English.
• Experience in complex IT project implementations, customization or maintenance.
• Analytical mindset to analyze test results and facilitate defect resolution.
• Organized and methodical, able to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to customers (75%), leading design and deployment of Rocket products.
• Lead a project team and communicate status and risks to stakeholders.
• Own the architecture, versions, and requirements; determine technical resource needs.
• Coordinate with PM on changes in scope and impacts to delivery.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Deliver technical trainings and participate in forums and knowledge sharing.
