Job summary
Rocket Software is seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer – Senior Consultant to lead Mainframe Modernization projects. You will provide technical leadership in designing, implementing, and deploying modernization solutions for customers, with a focus on IBM COBOL/PL/I, CICS/IMS, and data migration, while collaborating with delivery architects and project teams.

Qualifications
- 5-7 years of relevant technical experience
- Excellent communication / customer service skills / confident telephone manner
- Proactive and able to work under pressure
- Experience in complex IT project implementations, customizations and/or maintenance
- Must have an analytical mind set to analyse test result and facilitate defect resolution
- Organized and methodical, dealing with numerous tasks
- Fluent in written and verbal English
Responsibilities
- Provide services to customers (75%)
- Work on complex project scope with minimal direction from customer/SI representatives
- Contribute to design for deliverables and assist in deployment Rocket products
- Implement new solutions under guidance of Delivery Architects
- Create proof of concept / pilots and perform tech analyses
- Conduct external and internal technical presentations/trainings
- Participate in Rocket AMC forums and user groups
- Apply subject matter knowledge to solve technical issues
- Lead a project team and communicate status and risks
- Ensure architecture and requirements are understood
- Estimate new requirements and coordinate with Architect/PM
