Rocket Software is seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer – a Senior Consultant focused on mainframe modernization, delivering technical leadership and trusted guidance to customers driving digital transformation.
The role emphasizes hands-on solution delivery, architecture awareness, and collaboration with Delivery Architects to scope, design and implement modernization efforts for complex mainframe environments.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of relevant technical experience required.
- Excellent communication / customer service skills / confident telephone manner.
- Proactive and able to work under pressure.
- Experience in complex IT project implementations, customizations and/or maintenance.
- Must have an analytical mind set to analyse test results and facilitate defect resolution.
- Organized and methodical, dealing with numerous tasks.
- Fluent in written and verbal English.
Responsibilities
- Provide services to customers (75%).
- Lead design and deployment of Rocket products.
- Contribute to implement new solutions under the direction of Delivery Architects.
- Create proofs of concept / proofs of value analyses and pilots.
- Conduct external and internal technical presentations/trainings to peers.
