Job summary

Cisco in the United States is seeking a Solution Engineer to act as a trusted advisor to Tier 1 providers, architect end-to-end solutions, and guide opportunities from discovery to technical close.

You will partner with account teams to translate architectural vision into actionable strategies, lead design for routing and backhaul, and apply AI tools to accelerate proofs-of-concept and customer outcomes across global deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 8+ years in systems engineering or network architecture for service providers.
• Deep knowledge of Cisco products and SP networks.
• Expertise in Cisco IMI routing portfolio and BGP/OSPF/ISIS/Segment Routing.
• Experience with IP network automation and API-driven workflows (Ansible preferred).
• Strong communication with executive presence and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engagements across the full project lifecycle from discovery to technical close.
• Secure the technical win by addressing objections at engineering and executive levels.
• Collaborate with AE and account teams to translate vision into actionable strategy.
• Architect end-to-end design for Service Provider routing (IP Core/Edge/Backhaul).
• Drive transformation toward autonomous networks with visibility and self-healing features.
• Foster innovation with 5G Mobility Core knowledge to modernize mobile infrastructure.
