Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to combine technical aptitude with strong communication to design scalable, reliable payment solutions for enterprise merchants on the Affirm platform. You will align with Sales, Engineering, and Product to drive adoption and tailor architectures for customers.

You will influence product direction, create scalable playbooks, and assist in sales planning while traveling up to 30% as needed. Remote-first with national coverage.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in business/technology, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in sales engineering, solution architecture, or pre-sales.
• 3+ years in payments/fintech industry.
• Strong API, SaaS, and enterprise architecture knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on integration solutions and merchant checkouts.
• Architect end-to-end solutions addressing customer challenges and constraints.
• Build trust with enterprise merchants and foster long-term relationships.
• Partner with sales and partner engineering to drive opportunities.
• Provide feedback to product management based on customer needs.
• Create reusable assets, training materials, and best practices.
• Contribute technical input to sales planning and forecasting.
• Develop pre-sales materials and documentation for new products.
• Build and present custom demos as required.
