Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to bridge technical and business teams across enterprise merchants, guiding design and implementation of scalable checkout and payments solutions on the Affirm platform.

You will partner with Sales, Engineering, and Product to map customer needs to product capabilities, craft compelling technical narratives, and drive solutions from discovery through successful deployments, while traveling up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in business/technology, or equivalent technical account management experience.
• 4+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Partner Engineering, or related roles.
• 3+ years in the payments, fintech, or related industry.
• Strong technical acumen in API integrations, SaaS platforms, and enterprise architectures.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to articulate complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert on Aff… integration solutions and merchant checkout.
• Architect end-to-end solutions addressing merchant challenges and priorities.
• Build trust with internal and external technical counterparts and major merchants.
• Partner with sales and partner engineering to drive opportunities with large customers.
• Provide actionable customer feedback to influence product development.
• Create scalable go-to-market assets and training materials.
• Support sales planning with technical risk assessment and scalable engagement models.
• Develop pre-sales materials and demos as needed.
