Job summary

Zip is seeking a Solutions Engineer to act as a technical pre-sales expert, guiding prospects through our AI-driven procurement platform. You will demonstrate capabilities, tailor demonstrations to customer needs, and collaborate with sales to close deals.

The role requires strong discovery, demo skills, and the ability to work with German-speaking customers across the DACH region. You will craft technical workshops, respond to RFx and IT security questionnaires, and partner with Post-Sales to

Qualifications

• Strong solution selling skills to articulate the value of software solutions.
• Excellent presentation and composure with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent discovery skills to lead conversations and uncover pain, value, and path to sales.
• Experience using REST APIs for enterprise integration (ERP/CLM systems).
• Self-starter capable of quickly grasping new technology.
• Willingness to travel to onsite/customer meetings.
• Fluency in German (C1/C2) for DACH region.

Responsibilities

• Support prospective customer conversations, conduct discovery, demos, and handle objections.
• Own responses to customer asks including follow-ups, demos, RFx, and IT security questionnaires.
• Build custom demos matching customer requirements.
• Lead and scope POCs with Post-Sales.
• Partner with Sales to meet sales objectives.
• Ensure smooth transition from sale to onboarding with Post-Sales.
• Provide feedback to improve processes and products.
