Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Salesforce Solutions Engineer for its nonprofit-focused team in the Chicago area. You will map customer goals to the Salesforce portfolio, deliver compelling demos, respond to RFIs/RFPs, and craft technical viewpoints aligned with industry trends.

You will design innovative Salesforce-based solutions, build relationships with sales and accounts, and relay customer needs back to product and engineering teams while pursuing ongoing training.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional work experience in nonprofit or software industry.
• Experience in fast-paced, agile environments.
• Salesforce Administrator experience preferred.
• Nonprofit sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Map customer goals to the Salesforce solution portfolio.
• Earn the technical win through demos and presentations.
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs.
• Develop technical Points of View aligned with industry knowledge.
• Design innovative Salesforce-based solutions.
• Present story-driven demos tied to business value.
• Build and maintain relationships with the sales team and account contacts.
• Feedback customer requirements to product and engineering teams.
• Participate in ongoing training and certifications.
• Travel domestically up to 20%.
