Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a seasoned SE for its Nonprofit Solutions team in the Chicago area. You will map customer goals to the Salesforce portfolio, deliver compelling demos to win technical traction, and respond to RFIs and RFPs while shaping innovative solutions on the Salesforce platform.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years’ experience, strong nonprofit/software background, sales exposure, and Salesforce Admin experience. Expect domestic travel up to 20% and active contribution to customer success.

Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field.
7+ years of professional work experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector or software industry.
Experience working in a fast-paced, agile company environment.
Previous sales experience preferred.
Previous Salesforce Administrator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Discover and analyze customer goals, mapping them to the Salesforce solution portfolio.
Earn the technical win through compelling demos and presentations.
Respond to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs.
Research and develop technical Points of View aligned with industry knowledge.
Design innovative solutions on the Salesforce platform.
Present customized, story-driven demos tied to business value.
Build and maintain relationships with the sales team and account contacts.
Feed customer requirements back to product and engineering teams.
Participate in ongoing training and certifications.
Travel domestically up to 20%.
