Job summary

CAI is seeking a Senior Solutions Consultant to act as a pre-sales technical architect and proposal writer across IT service lines. This client-facing role translates complex client requirements into winning, technically sound solutions covering ITSM, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Cloud (AWS/Azure), and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of IT services experience with RFPs and SOWs, in pre-sales or proposal roles.
• Ability to design across ITSM/ITIL, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, AMS, Cloud (AWS/Azure), and Infrastructure.
• Proven track record writing technical proposal content for government or commercial RFPs.
• Strong understanding of managed services delivery models, staffing/pricing, and SLAs.
• Fluent English with ability to present to executives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to summarize complex material using charts/diagrams.
• Power user of Microsoft Word and Office products.
• Experience cross-functional with capture, proposal writers, delivery, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and qualify opportunities for new business.
• Lead solution architecture for pre-sales, translating RFP/RFI requirements into solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define CAI strategy for pursuits.
• Design end-to-end ITSM/ITIL and infrastructure solutions.
• Create high-level diagrams and presentations of proposed solutions.
• Write and edit proposal content in collaboration with writers and capture managers.
• Lead or support solutioning workshops with capture teams.
• Partner with service/partner teams to incorporate platform capabilities.
• Identify cost items, document assumptions, and manage risk.
• Develop reusable solution assets like reference architectures and staffing models.
• Support BAFOs, client presentations, and executive briefings.
• Provide technical review on proposal volumes.
• Stay current on market trends to keep CAI competitive.
