Gusto is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to serve as the top technical escalation point, defining strategy and standards across the Solutions Engineering function. You’ll own deep API and OAuth-based integrations for enterprise and partner deals, while translating technical realities into strategic business decisions in executive discussions.

You will mentor the SE team, shape the technical roadmap, and ensure end-to-end integration work ships for major customers.

Competenze

• 8–12+ years of relevant experience in technical pre-sales, solutions-architecture, or implementation leadership.
• Proven ability to operate independently on highly complex technical problems.
• Able to translate between engineers and executives in discussions.
• Experience setting technical direction or standards across a team or function.
• Track record influencing roadmaps with structured technical feedback.
• Deep fluency across Salesforce/CRM, API integration, and OAuth-based auth flows.

Mansioni

• Serve as the final technical escalation point for rare, high-ambiguity problems with no existing playbook.
• Set technical strategy and direction for Solutions Engineering as a function.
• Represent SE in cross-functional and exec conversations with Product, Engineering, and GTM leadership.
• Mentor and raise the technical bar for the SE team and coach on autonomy in deal execution.
• Own the technical strategy and hands-on integration work behind enterprise and partner deals (API and OAuth-based).
• Ensure integration or customization ships for customers rather than being left to sales.
• Turn bespoke integrations into reusable patterns and tooling for other accounts.
• Influence product and engineering roadmap via pattern recognition across the SE function.
• Operate with full autonomy; no higher escalation path exists for day-to-day decisions.
