Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly technical Enterprise Architect to define target-state architecture and multi-year roadmaps for customer communications across CVS Health businesses. You will partner with engineering to design integrations, data flows, APIs, and enabling infrastructure.

The role focuses on scalable, compliant platforms, spanning Adobe, Salesforce, consent management, and enterprise messaging. Remote-work option available nationwide.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technology experience, including 5+ years in enterprise/platform/solution architecture.
• Experience architecting large-scale software platforms, including applications, cloud infrastructure, integrations, APIs, and data flows.
• Experience across Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture with platform-wide impact.
• Hands‑on architecture experience in customer communications, marketing technology, or related domains.
• Experience with Salesforce and Adobe Experience Cloud or comparable enterprise tech.
• Strong API, data, and integration pattern knowledge; REST, event-driven, data-rich design.
• Cloud-based applications/infrastructure experience, preferably GCP.
• Understanding of data architecture, identity resolution, and high-volume data ecosystems.
• Knowledge of consent, privacy, and compliance considerations for outbound communications.
• Ability to guide engineering teams through complex designs without being the primary developer.
• Experience evaluating enterprise vendors, proofs of concept, RFPs, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate business needs into scalable architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architecture and multi-year roadmaps for customer communications across CVS Health units.
• Architect scalable platforms for customer communications, campaign management, personalization, data, consent, and archiving.
• Evolve the Adobe-centric ecosystem; evaluate Salesforce and other strategic platforms.
• Design API-led, event-driven integrations connecting platforms with enterprise data and cloud services.
• Translate business capabilities into actionable technical designs, data elements, and system dependencies.
• Architect outbound channels (email, SMS, push) and consent management capabilities.
• Embed consent, privacy, regulatory controls, and archiving in platform architecture.
• Design data flows, identity relationships, and high-volume processing patterns.
• Guide engineering through design, deployment, and optimization for security, performance, and cost.
• Engage executives with architectural trade-offs, risks, and investment options.
• Explore AI use cases with governance controls in customer communications.
