Job summary

DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join our Renewables and Power Grids team in North America. The role involves delivering solar resource assessments and energy production modeling for a diverse project portfolio, leveraging data-driven methods and state-of-the-art tools.

You will work across multi‑discipline teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and contributing to tool development and process improvements in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering or quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for utility-scale, distributed generation, commercial & industrial, community solar, residential, and hybrid renewable energy projects.
• Analyze operational production and performance data from solar plants, evaluate resource variability, derive modeling parameters, assess system losses including degradation, and support bankable energy yield assessments for project development, financing, acquisition, and operational decision‑making.
• Ensure deliverable quality according to DNV's standards: prepare technical reports, collaborate on assumptions and methodologies, communicate findings to customers, and perform quality assurance activities.
• Be part of a data-driven culture: work with analysts to implement latest methods, develop tools and workflows, and continuously improve solar energy assessment methodologies.
