Job summary

DNV is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join the Solar Energy Assessments team in North America. You will conduct long-term solar resource assessments and energy yield analyses for utility-scale and distributed projects, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality technical deliverables.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, process improvements, and the use of leading software to support project development, financing, and operation across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, atmospheric science, mathematics, environmental science, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in solar energy assessment.
• Strong proficiency with Python and data-analysis tools.
• Experience with solar resource variability and energy yield modeling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for various solar projects.
• Analyze operational production data from solar plants and assess resource variability.
• Ensure deliverables meet DNV standards and perform QA.
• Contribute to tools and workflows for analytical modeling.
