DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Solar Energy Analyst to join our Renewables and Power Grids team. You will conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for utility-scale to residential projects across North America, leveraging data-driven methods and robust QA processes.

The role emphasizes modeling, dataset analysis, and uncertainty assessments to support bankable yield estimates and project decision-making, with opportunities to influence methodologies and tools

Qualifications

• Experience conducting long-term solar resource and energy production assessments.
• Ability to analyze solar and climatic datasets and perform energy modeling.
• Skill in assessing statistical uncertainty and variability in production.
• Capability to extract parameters, evaluate losses including degradation, and support bankable energy yield assessments.
• Proven ability to prepare technical reports, communicate findings, and perform QA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for diverse projects.
• Analyze datasets, perform energy modeling, and predict energy production with uncertainty analyses.
• Evaluate operational production data, resource variability, and degradation to support bankable yield assessments.
