Job summary

DNV Energy Systems’ Renewables and Power Grids group seeks a Senior Solar Energy Analyst. You will join a data-driven team delivering solar resource and energy assessments for North America.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in solar energy assessments, strong modeling skills, and proficiency in Python and data analysis. Hybrid work is available across multiple North American offices with relocation options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field required.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar NA role.
• Strong solar resource assessment and energy modeling knowledge.
• Experience with MCP analyses and solar variability impacts.
• Proficiency in Python and Excel; ability to use data-science tools.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct long-term solar resource and energy production assessments for various solar project types.
• Analyze operational production data, assess resource variability and model parameters.
• Prepare technical reports, ensure QA/QC, and communicate results to customers and stakeholders.
• Support development of analytical tools, workflows, and continuous method improvements.
